Dr. Silvia Baker
Dr. Silvia Baker is a Doctor of Dental Surgery and began her journey with BDC in 1999. Growing up, Dr. Baker was inspired by her aunt to become a dentist, as she was a dentist as well. She encouraged young Silvia to assist and to become familiar with dentistry. It became clear to Silvia that this was a career she wanted to pursue, one that would be fulfilling and would bring her great joy. Dr. Baker loves to create a fun, welcoming environment. Seeing her patients smile and have a good time is what motivates her every day to keep doing what she’s doing. Many people suffer from dental anxiety, so when Dr. Baker is faced with an anxious patient, child or adult, it brings her true joy watching them at ease and comfortable in her care. Dr. Baker and her team work together, using kindness to conquer fear, to give her patients a transformative, comforting experience that will have them excited to come back to their BDC family. In her free time, Dr. Baker finds joy in gardening, as she loves the beauty of flowers. She enjoys dancing and is a big fan of silly comedies – she says, “the crazier the better!” Being a mom of 4, family get-togethers mean everything to her!
