In April 2025, the Babylon Dental Care team visited Forest Avenue Elementary School for a fun and educational day all about oral health. We covered how to properly brush and floss, the difference between tooth-friendly and sugary foods, what a dentist does, how often to visit the dentist, and even introduced the idea of braces. The students watched a Blippi video on brushing and practiced their technique using a giant mouth model. We loved sharing smiles and helping kids build healthy oral habits that last a lifetime!
At Babylon Dental Care, giving back is part of who we are. In December 2024, our generous team members came together to personally donate over $500 worth of toys to Amanda Donates, a Staten Island-based nonprofit that supports children and families in need. Founded by attorney Amanda Lyons, Amanda Donates organizes drives for toys, school supplies, and other essentials to help underserved communities. We’re proud of our employees’ compassion and commitment to making a difference beyond the walls of our practice.
On February 7th 2024, Babylon Dental Care had the pleasure of visiting Miss Midgie’s Preschool of West Babylon in recognition of Children’s Dental Health month. We spoke to the children about the proper way to brush and floss, read a story about how fun visiting the dentist is and even practiced our brushing techniques one by one with our cheerful Dinosaur model! Our goal during Children’s Dental Health month is to emphasize the importance of oral hygiene and instill good dental habits early in life. As dental professionals, we loved having the opportunity to educate the children about proper nutrition and oral hygiene practices at home.
We were honored to be able to offer our third annual Bright Future Scholarship this past August. In honor of our commitment both to education and the well-being of our staff and their families, we proudly extended the 2023 scholarship to two members of the BDC family: Brenna Lemon and Brendan Conroy. Both recipients were presented with a scholarship of $2,500 to support their college aspirations.
For the Spring season we spread Spring cheer by delivering beautiful blooms/dutch gardens to nursing homes and senior living facilities around our area.
We work with Operation Christmas Child (an arm of Samaritan’s Purse) to send shoebox presents to kids in need around the world. Patients have the opportunity to buy a “pre-packaged” shoebox that is then transported to packing centers where they are then shipped out. Each shoebox includes hygiene items, notebooks, coloring books, crayons, and toys.
During the 2023 holiday season, we partnered with Amanda Dontes to run a toy drive for the children in the pediatric oncology unit at Staten Island University Hospital, as well as PS124 in Brooklyn, a Title 1 school where 58% of students are in the shelter system. We are so grateful for our wonderful patients who donated toys as they came into the office for their dental visit, and each team member who brought a toy to our annual holiday party!

The story of BDC began 30 years ago with the same philosophy we have today – treating patients like family. We continue to be on the forefront of new technology and systems in order to make the office better and create the best experience for our patients. While we continue to better our practices, one of the things that doesn’t change is our philosophy and the way we treat our patients. We treat them the way we want to be treated, like family.
On January 24th, 2008 we celebrated an overwhelming milestone – 25 years of service to our community! It is an honor and a privilege to be able to serve our patients and we are grateful to all who put their trust in us, year after year.
Every year we take time to celebrate our team and our many efforts throughout the year. Our family BBQs have become a time that our team looks forward to where we can enjoy each other and our families outside of the office.
