Financial Administrator
Joan Oakley serves as the Financial Administrator at Babylon Dental Care, bringing more than two decades of professional expertise and a history of working closely with the finance team. With a background in bookkeeping from a previous role, Joan developed a strong foundation in financial operations early in her career. While her time at the practice has been spent in Human Resources—she was known for her dedication, problem-solving skills, and detail-oriented work—Joan was ready for a new challenge.
Since our practice has expanded, we realized we needed a strong leader in the finance administration role. Joan’s deep understanding of the organization, combined with her experience in both people operations and finance, made her the perfect fit to help lead this next chapter. Joan now oversees critical financial processes with the same integrity, loyalty, and attention to detail that defined her HR work.
Her career has been shaped by continuous learning, including active participation in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), numerous seminars and webinars, and nearly two decades of service on an HR Committee alongside exceptional professionals and guest speakers. This diverse background gives her a unique perspective on how finance and operations work together to support a thriving business.
Inspired daily by the strong women in her life, Joan is committed to honesty, accountability, and compassion in every decision she makes. Outside of work, she enjoys the sunshine and salty air, spending time boating and making memories with her family. In recent years, she has also discovered a passion for roller skating and is an avid reader, both of which bring her balance, joy, and new perspectives.
