Airway Health Specialist
Michelle Sands, RDH, OMT, is a Myofunctional Therapist and Airway Health Specialist at Babylon Dental Care. With over 30 years of experience as a chairside dental hygienist, Michelle brings a unique perspective to her work, blending decades of patient care with her passion for airway health and sleep medicine.
After retiring from traditional hygiene, Michelle transitioned into airway health to focus on the vital connection between oral function, breathing, and sleep quality. She has been a driving force in helping patients identify and treat sleep-disordered breathing and in building patient pathways that improve both health and quality of life. Her motto, “I want to live a life of joy,” fuels her work and the care she provides every patient.
Outside the office, Michelle is a proud mom of two grown sons, a breast cancer survivor, and someone who looks at the second half of life with gratitude and excitement. With the support of her husband — her rock through every chapter — she is building a future filled with joy, purpose, and maybe even a retirement beach house by the ocean.
