Dr. Monika Pogoda
Dr. Monika received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry, completing her residency program at Queens Hospital Center. She then began practicing on Long Island full time. From a young age, Dr. Monika was drawn to dentistry, inspired by her brother who suffers from a cleft lip. It became Dr. Monika’s goal and life-long dream to be able to restore her patients’ smiles, giving them the hope and the confidence they deserve. Seeing the happiness, and relief, in her patients’ eyes when they are finally able to smile again is what makes this more than just a job for Dr. Monika, it’s her purpose. Witnessing firsthand the emotional and financial hardships that her brother and parents faced, it brings Dr. Monika great joy getting to know her patients, building relationships, and creating a space comfortable enough for her patients to open up. Dr. Monika’s core values (compassion, transparency, integrity, and growth) are the compass that guides her to ensure that her patients are provided with excellent care and an experience that exceeds their expectations. In her free time, Dr. Monika enjoys making new memories with family and friends, winter sports, traveling and exploring the beauty of other cultures.
