Francesca Oddo, one of the registered dental hygienists at Babylon Dental Care discussed proper oral hygiene with Empire State Today this week. She advised always flossing before brushing, or as she put it: “sweep before you mop.” She also pointed out that it is optimal to wait a couple minutes to rinse after brushing because it allows teeth more time to absorb the fluoride from the toothpaste.
